Hello, new friends! I'm Amy, a thirty-something living in south central Indiana while working for a Big Ten university, bringing in sad vampire girl Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries. As a vampire, this is far from the first time she's died, but it is the only time that's really stuck. I'm sure you can guess how thrilled she is at this.



She's both the beauty and the beast.

Elena is a nineteen-year-old baby vampire who was turned less than two years ago, so she's nowhere near as strong as her also just arrived canonmate, Kol. She is still considerably stronger than a normal human though, and she has some nifty supernatural abilities (permissions here) that she'll be open about in game since she's decided to say fuck it and tell everyone she's a vampire.

One major thing to note about Elena: She is not in a great place emotionally when arriving in Beacon. It's only been a few weeks since she lost her soulmate to a permanent death and, as a result, she will probably be more than a little reckless as she dives headfirst into everything in Beacon. (In canon, she was soon to resort to ancient psychotropic drugs to continue "seeing" him, so caution isn't really the name of her game right now.) She's had lots of practice at hiding her pain and grief, though, so there will be plenty of friendly neighborhood vampire moments for all.
