Magicians is-- fucked up adults trying to save the world with magic, and failing, killing several people and themselves - several times. There are timelines, it's a thing.

OMG the Expanse! Have you read it? The books are amazing! But the show is just - chills! I get chills and there are all these layers of politics, and prejudice and harm done to people in the past - while there are even worse things happening! That wheel, tho. Those child-experimenting assholes? I love that they never take the short route to explain any of it, but they show it so well. Just with the different accents for Mars and the Belters? The looks between the different factions? I could go on!
