It doesn't get in, not exactly. But somehow, it found a way through the cracks. At some point when he's sleeping, or perhaps just dozed off temporarily, he'll feel a tugging, sticking sensation. Even as he wakes, it's too late to stop it right away. The spider silk that's wound around his middle is thick and heavy, like coarse rope. He's lifted off the floor, pulled up and up and up, until he's colliding with the rafters. But whatever has him on the other side can't break him through. He'll be able to sever the web, or maybe it releases him.
But then, of course, he crashes back down to the floor, hard. He'll suffer minor fracturing in one of his arms (your choice) and a few of his ribs, a sprain in one wrist, not to mention a terrible amount of bruising and stiffness all over the rest of his body.
