player: Dubsey character(s): Riku... Kinda areas of interest: General Storytelling notes: The mods obviously do a TON of work on the game, but sometimes a player just has some itch they want scratched. With Mipps permission and some players buying in, people are volunteering to story-tell for each other to satisfy some personal plotting appetites. For example, Raina has a craving for more danger and horror, so I've offered to run a log for Jason Todd that will deal with some of his inner demons. This has some limitations!
These should: - be limited to one player (as in, one-on-one, more than that and you'll want to do a player plot) - it fits within known phenomenon in the game (for example, lantern malfunctions, hallucinations due to extended exposure to the dark, etc.) this kind of works like threading out the effects of an event! - not involve mod NPCs (the point is to tell stories without requiring extra work on the mods part) - ideally be tailored to your audience (especially taking into consideration player triggers and limits)
Here's how it works. In the example above, I offer to run a log for Raina's character. It might start out with a normal interaction between my character and Jason Todd, but perhaps I start introducing horror elements and trot out some of the character's personal demons. I hope to do a good enough job that Raina is happy to get some delicious trauma and I get the satisfaction of a job well done. (Alternatively, you can enter an agreement with a player to trade off the role of storyteller.)
