The short answer is yes, sort of! Eleven can use her void abilities to spy, but OOCly it would be for fun CR purposes, as Eleven won't be able to learn anything that would give the rescuers an advantage. Since the first part of the event has a lot of moving parts on the back end and it takes place over such a short period of time, the plot for part one is largely on rails and will happen as planned regardless.

ICly what this means is that Eleven can use the void to communicate with kidnapped characters, but she won't be able to learn their location or what exactly is happening to them. The green-eyeds spirits will be using their hallucination-inducing abilities on their captives, so any info that could help with the rescue mission would somehow be fuzzed out or blocked by the spirits. It's certainly possible that they could get wise to what she's doing and retaliate somehow, too.
