It'll be structured pretty differently, actually! The gist of the plan is that we'll have a page that functions like a "looking for group" kind of forum. Players looking for Wild Hunt helpers will submit a request to us, and then we'll put up a want ad on the page to let other players know what sort of role we need filled. Anyone in the game who's interested in NPCing for this role can submit a short application (real short, like ~250 words tops) for the character they'd like to play, and we'll RNG a winner! That NPC will then get to help out with whatever the PCs need, whether that be teaching a skill, doing some construction, escorting on an exploration, etc.
The Wild Hunt hired labor mechanic will allow players to get extra helping hands, and the player-NPC mechanic will allow players to actually thread out those interactions. NPCing for the Night Market is an AC reward because it's a "flashier" NPC role that requires more prep time and guidance, versus NPCing for the Wild Hunt, which is more intimate and thus easier for us to be hands off. This allows us to open it up to everyone!
Also, just to be clear, the hired labor mechanic doesn't need to involve an actual NPC. Players are more than welcome to opt for the "red shirt" option, which basically translates to "and then the Wild Hunt helped out and we're glossing over the details". We're not gonna force everyone to do the whole NPC thing for stuff they aren't interested in threading.
