He started focusing on assisting other people (emotionally, physically, with projects around town, etc.) and he hasn't really stopped. He's volunteered to help build boats, go on an exploration, and, most recently, he compiled and distributed all the IC knowledge about Beacon that he could find — not for personal benefit, but for other people.
