peter parker AGE/BIRTHDAY: laughs in comics late 20s — it's been retconned that he got bit at 15 and during slott's run it was mentioned it had been 13 years since then, so he was 28. so in theory, 29/30. an offhand comment in spencer's run puts him in his mid-twenties but, uh, that doesn't make sense so, no. also: august 10th, probably. sliding timelines, so we're ignoring years lmf HEIGHT: 5'10, officially. WEIGHT: 167lbs GENDER: male MARITAL STATUS: sold his marriage to the devil..... (yes, that's still a thing) HAIR: brown EYES: hazel ORIGIN: queens, nyc, earth (616 variety baby) LANGUAGE: english
VISION peter's pretty average in terms of height and general appearance; in the modern era his casual clothing leans towards layers — shirts with shirts; shirts with t-shirts; ugly fucking sweaters. he's stronger and fitter than first glances would imply (all that webswinging gives your arms a workout, alright), although he's built more like a gymnast than anything else.
here's some artby steve rude for a classic inspired look; but for a slightly more modern take on the jrsr peter, i think quinones hits the mark as well as zdarsky. but paolo rivera (see left) is one of my favourites.
peter's not exactly fashion-forward, and mj has described his hairstyle as "being stuck in the 60s", so like. LAUGHS.
he is not a cool dude.
his movements are naturally pretty graceful thanks to the whole spider thing, which means he makes a deliberate effort most of the time to be just a touch more clumsy than he is naturally; as spider-man, he habitually perches on things, crouches on walls, stands at odd angles etc etc and generally moves in a prettycreepy way.
SOUND i enjoy josh keaton's portrayal, even if he's normally associated with a younger peter parker. otherwise, here's a note from the comics — slightly nasal; new yorker.
SCENT nothing remarkable — maybe coffee. he uses generic soap and deodorant. however, his web fluid has a pretty distinctive chemical smell, not entirely unlike bleach. (616) matt murdock finds it pretty fucking weird and unique.
MISC. he's ... spider-man? honestly, idk. ask me things if u want. edit: WAIT that zdarsky artwork/page i linked — it's from issue #310 of peter parker: the spectacular spider-man and it won an eisner award. everyone should read it if they want an insight into a well-written (ie. not slott) modern peter parker/spider-man.
peter parker, marvel (616)
