GENDER: Angels are technically without gender, but typically refer to themselves and each other by vessel pronouns. Castiel's vessel is male.

LANGUAGE: native language: Enochian (language of angels), though Castiel understands/speaks all human languages of mid 2000ish "normal" Earth

VISION
Castiel occupies the body of Jimmy Novak, a caucasion American tax accountant in his mid 30s. His build is athletic and toned, though a lot more slender than you'd assume at first. The clothes (white shirt, black suit and dress shoes, blue tie that always ends up backwards plus oversized, knee length trench coat) make him look a little bulkier than he is. His hair is dark brown (can look black) and always a little windswept and tousled, the eyes are big and very blue. He often looks impassive, though if you know him you can read a lot more on his face than you'd assume. He smiles little, frowns a lot and tends to appear rather serious to grim in his moods.

SOUND
His voice is low and gravelly. Interestingly, it's decidedly different from the natural voice of his vessel. Castiel tends to speak with a certain amount of gravitas. Not overly formal, but definitely stiff to an extent. It takes a lot to make him nervous enough to stammer or verbally lose his cool.

SCENT
According to canon, Castiel does not sweat under any circumstances, and has no need to groom his vessel. He's otherworldly though, and as angels true forms in Supernatural are often depicted in relation to storms, he smells faintly of ozone and petrichor.

MISC.
Don't be too disappointed that his body isn't technically his own (though it very much is so now). Castiel's true has several heads, too many eyes, and is the size of the Chrysler Building. Oh, and humans beholding it tend to have their eyes burn out, leaving charred holes in their skull. You CAN see his grace, his very essence, float in his lantern in the form of moving, almost gaseous white-blue light. And occasionally you might see the shadows of his wings.
