On December 23rd, characters will wake to find the spirits have decorated all of Beacon! Carefully placed candles light up the entire town, offering warm dots of light among the darkness. Once they're finished, they'll also offer the Beacon residents something else: a game.

It's time for a dreidel game! This is going to be a player run mechanic, because we want the next few weeks to be as relaxed as possible for everyone. The spirits will be handing out special dreidels which, when spun, will offer a variety of prizes. These range from helpful winter presents to little chachkies to, hm, something a little more unpleasant . . . but nothing permanent! But what's the point of playing a game if there isn't any risk of consequences, huh?

Here's a few things to keep in mind:

Characters will each get a dreidel. The size, shape, and color of it are up to player discretion! They can either have a spirit give it to them or, more worryingly, wake up to see it set neatly against the pillow next to their head.

Prizes will be listed on the event log! Characters can rng as they like.

There's no limit on prizes, go nuts.

If you'd like your character to play against the spirits, by all means! However, mods will not be playing the spirits, meaning you can incorporate them into your threads without us!

plans: I'll toplevel for this so come dreidel at him! He might be back a few days into the event from an exploration, we'll see, waiting on those to reopen. But he'll be around and has no idea what a dreidel is, what these funny symbols mean, what Hanukkah is or any of your other Earth holidays are for that matter so please someone come explain. He'd appreciate it.

Also helpful to know is that yes he did participate in the Secret Santa thing so if you got a gift from him he'll be findable, and if you sent him one he'll probably come try to say thanks.

Anyway at some point he'll run out of social energy pretty quickly and go back to lurking at The Invincible or the library or someplace he can stay warm and work on his star chart project and try to figure out what all the dream stuff adds up to because what's the point of having fun when you can be trying to make sense of the mystery that is Beacon, right?
