Hey Daz, and welcome to ITN! I'm Ireth, and I play Quentin Coldwater. He's... a mess and a magician and he really has a soft spot like a mile wide when it comes to girls in distress. It's like catnip.

She does!! She's half human, half Three-Eye Tribe member; "tribes" seem to be otherwise human with a unifying biological difference (snakelike neck, extra arm bone and joint, etc.) Pudding is the first and only Three-Eye in canon so far, and she's grown up with everyone including her own mother calling her third eye creepy and monstrous - that's a large part of why she's Like This. She keeps it covered carefully 100% of the time unless Reasons.

So, girl in distress? Very much yes for real and very much playing at it.

I haven't seen The Magicians but Quentin seems like such a sweetheart. I'm sorry in advance, haha.

Quentin is... he's always loved classical fantasy tropes? So, yeah. Damsel in distress is in there somewhere, along with Being A Hero and Sacrificing For The People You Love.

He's the kind of guy who feels vaguely superior to most people due to intellect and inferior about everything else. He wished for magic so hard, and even after finding it, it still wasn't enough. Canon is confusing and a hot mess, because while magic is good and amazing and wonderful, it ever actually solves anything. It just makes things worse, but it's still amazing? Quentin is a nerd with a big heart, who wants to fix things. All the things.

So... throw your murder-girl at him!
