Ahaha, that's fine. I stalk their threads, too, sometimes. Quentin is... nice. Lives in his own head a lot, has a lot of heart and suffers from depression. Which might explain why he seems to get along with Riku and Vanitas both.

Quick and dirty run-down of the magicians - nerd-boy reads a lot and wishes he was a hero but is too depressed and too sad to actually do anything about it. Gets letter to Hogwarts (ahem, Brakebills), finds magic, finds friends, finds magical fantasy land, gets a mortal enemy. Gets timeline reset 39 times because he keeps fucking it up. Saves the world in timeline-40 (or, his ex-girlfriend does, she turns in to a monster, Quentin kills her except for how her evil soul lives inside his body for a few months). Nerd-boy finds a way to get ex-girlfriend back from the dead, kills a dick god, gets magic shut off across the multiverse. No one liked that. Best friend gets a magical quest to get magic back from the Questing Cock of Fillory (honest to god truth) and nerd-boy helps get the seven keys to magic and learns a lot about himself along the way, finds love and loses it again. Ex-girlfriend stabs him in the back, love of his life shoots a monster and releases it in to the world. Magic is now under the fascist control of the library. Monster possesses love of Q's life, hunts down Quentin and wants to play (and kill things in horrible ways, with Q there as some kind of support blanket?) Quentin finds a way to bring back love of his life and entrap the Monster and his sister, and dies while making sure they can never come back (also, kills a librarian who wants to be a god).

And! Now he's here!

And yes, please! Any chance to annoy Vanitas really, because while Q doesn't hate the little guy, he can still be very very annoying. And sad. And hurt and awwww

wow.... okay that was a wild ride start to finish, it sounds like a glorious mess of a canon. i love it. poor quentin tho...

i will gladly offer up a spot of sunshine in these trying times because he sure sounds like he needs it. plus it comes with the added bonus of annoying vanitas since befriending ven is probably the quickest way of doing so. two for one deal!!
