Hey all! I'm PG, bringing in Antimony Price from the InCryptid series.
Antimony is a cryptozoologist, which in her case (since she's from a canon where pretty much all the myths are at least truth-adjacent) is less "weird academic kook, we're not sure where she keeps getting grant money" and more "unholy combination between spy and conservationist". Her family has been hunted as traitors by an organization of xenophobic monster slayers for a couple of generations, so she's been trained to keep both her real name and her profession quiet. She'll cop to the latter if it's directly relevant and a lie won't work; getting a name more honest than "Annie" out of her means you've reached level 10 trust.
Her last act before dying was tangling with a cosmic horror that had been tossing people into alternate dimensions because it thrived on chaos and misery, so she's going to be hurling herself bodily into trying to figure this whole creepy town of eternal night thing out at the earliest opportunity. Research and exploration buddies, anyone?
