Question - do we keep the TDM and go from there, or do they met for the first time again? Moving in to the A-frame - handwave the initial awkwardness and just keep going? I was thinking of having Q go through every single thing he can on the tablet and then head on over to the archive to research absolutely everything - tunnel vision ahoy, so. warning?

We'll slowly but surely work Misty up to asses, methinks - she can brush off fine now, but it's more knee-jerk defense than actual thick skin, very tired of people

I am completely canonblind to and very intrigued by both!! Give her the non-tool, she appreciates and craves people with the rare ability to not be cruel and despite herself will be needing connections sooner rather than later.

I almost actually prefer canonblindness actually, so that's no worry at all - and I am definitely approaching yours from the same lack of familiarity. He seems fun(!!) and they made easier conversation than I would have expected and I am super here for nudging her at him again.

She'll be playing the witch thing close to her chest for awhile yet, but you don't need explicit magic to go Spirit Befriending, you do that with force of will!! and evidently ocarinas.

Canonblindness is welcomed and, if I'm honest, encouraged!! I can also say I probably don't know much about Peter beyond the easy-to-glean stuff everyone does, but comic characters lend themselves really well to individual interpretations so I'm just more excited to play with him

She will cherish what little loom she can muster, and presumably one day have it undercut by Spidermanning being much cool than 'taller' anyway

But hey! She was thrown in a coffin and left for who knows how many days, so she's here in a big way for Big Issues Around (Attempted) Murder Solidarity, please, that's the good stuff

hey, hello! i'm Priestly (he/they), your friendly neighborhood punk! i'm an artist, animal lover, and pedant, and i'm so, so excited to be here! i'm rather new to dwrp, and this is my very first dwrp game, so if you see me fucking something up, it's less me going against the mold and more that i'm but a mere babby, so feel free to edify me through pm, comment, discord (Priestly#6651), or atompunk, it's all good.

i'm comin' atcha with Jim Hopper of Netflix's Stranger Things fame. the show's three glorious seasons of 80s sci-fi/horror/coming-of-age film remixed with all the character dynamics you could ever ask for. i try and mimic the tone of the series in my writing so i endeavor to incorporate humor and levity where i can!

for the uninitiated, Hopper's chief of police in a small town in Indiana when sci-fi shenanigans go down. he's gone from a hardened, traumatized Indiana Jones type to a cranky, traumatized Indiana Jones type with an adopted telekenetic murder daughter, he's really grown! because, you see, now the disaster is on the outside and not just the inside.

• a cop, 100% used to being an authority figure
• a Dad, but not to everyone, oh god, why are there so many smartass kids here?? make it stop? (reinforce his paternal side, i beg of you, b-blease... he will hate it [at first])
• kinda a rude dick bc deep down under all the hurt he does care a lot, i swear
• grappling with all kinds of cw-ish stuff like ptsd, substance abuse, nightmares, etc, so please don't hesitate to opt-out or gimme a heads up if you wanna avoid anything in particular

That was me! Many, many moons ago! I've retired Ten for the time being but I use his handle for everything because I am not a creative person by any stretch of the imagination when it comes to usernames. My Ten had creepy personas, but that's not what you meant and I realized that upon re-reading so please disregard.

Scarlett's defense mechanism is 'be an ass to everyone'. Except for children... though she'll deny that one forever. If I can get her to soften she and Misty should meet but I'll save her from Scarlett's... Scarletness (totally a word) for a while.

Allie can be hard at times but I just can't see her being that way with Misty. Her personality would appeal to Allie's softer side.

She's good at pushing and though she'll deny this forever, she's also the type to save somebody's ass if said harms way is likely to get them killed so she'd probably great at both getting him out there and keeping that from biting him in the ass.

They should go explore together! First chance something comes up, or if CR builds to player-run exploration, Quentin is going to find a way to get on that and see what else is on this island and how it's all connected.

Yeah, Quentin was raised mostly by his dad in middle class Jersey? He can survive in the wild, because duh, he went to cowboy camp as a kid? Also, because magic tossed him back in time when he and Eliot Waugh had to figure out how to survive on their own until they solved a quest. They ended up staying there for fifty years, so he can make a fire and not set himself on fire? Most days? Can't read a compass for shit and has the directional intelligence of something small and helpless.

Jump! Jump away! Oh, tv Quentin is different from book-Quentin, mostly because you can't hear his thoughts on the show? So he doesn't come off as such a blow-hard? I mean, he spends most of a chapter talking about just how brilliant he is, and how stupid everyone else is. Quentin on the show is... more adorably awkward and less neckbeard-y? But yay!
