you know, hadn't thought about parallels before, but sometimes you don't save Uncle Ben, sometimes your planet gets Death Starred because you couldn't get anyone to believe you about the ventilation shaft your scientist friend rigged to explode from a single shot. Could get interesting.

That's ok, not blaming himself is 100% off the table. But yeah, that's basically the plot of Rogue One. The Death Star was rigged to blow up and it follows all the forgotten weirdos who got themselves killed setting Luke Skywalker up for the shot at the end of the original.
