I heard the game needed more dad jokes

Greetings Beacon Bits I love that that is our name now. This is Erica (Jason Grace's player) and I decided that one good boy wasn't enough, I needed to bring in another one.

This is Maes Hughes. He's from this really obscure anime called Fullmetal Alchemist, it's about one dumpster fire teenager and his brother going on a quest to bring their bodies back to normal after trying to bring back their mom from the dead and everything goes horribly wrong. Maes more or less adopts them (briefly) and helps them out, and then gets TOTALLY MURDERED FOR IT.

You never really recover from Maes's death...

And then I should also note that he woke up in a weird temple and saved the multiverse for a bit. That's right, Maes is NOT coming from the end of life the first time, he's coming from the end of the last game I had him in acatalepsy_rpg. Which means to get here he had to die...again. He will be most annoyed.

On the plus side, the game he was last in granted him one magical ability: teleporting. It will be mostly useless until he follows Pokemon rules and visits a place first before he can 'warp.' But, you know, Maes's life can never be easy -- he's at least learned that much.

Haha, oh man, I am looking forward to so much of this. Masaomi himself is terrible with authority figures, so I'll have to force cr a bit, but hnnngh, just seeing Hughes around in the game is going to keep me very happy.

Maes is probably the easiest of the authority figures to get close with -- but he's also gotten exposed to defiant teenagers through Ed and Al...and then more of them when he was in acatalepsy_rpg for a year.

Either way, should be fun 8D Even if you don't like it, Maes will keep an eye out for you.
