welcome to in the night.

We're so glad to have you! Feel free to use this post to introduce yourselves to the rest of the game. If you've already posted an OOC intro in this comm, feel free to repost/link it here if you like! We'll be doing a mod-posted OOC intro like this for future app rounds, as well.

If you haven't heard back about your app yet, don't worry! We're hard at work processing the remaining apps, and we'll have all acceptance notices/questions out by tomorrow morning. We also won't be posting the IC intro log until all acceptance notices have been sent out. For more info on all this, you can check out our mod plurk about it.

Not sure where to begin? Letting other players know your name, pronouns, who you play, and how to contact you is a good starting point. And, of course, shitposting with gifs and memes is always good too. Welcome aboard!

Hey all! Roy here. I'm apparently incapable of playing canon characters any more so you get me nerding out over history instead with this guy from ww2. He's a medic that happens to see ghosts which may or may not even come up in a game full of dead people, ayyyy. talk history to me.

Gene is very chill and calm so if your character needs a dose of walking xanax please let me know and I'll hop to! I'm happy to keep my tdm threads more or less intact unless we need to tweak continuity somehow, and if you want to boomerang a tdm thread today to suss out some CR before the game starts let me know that too and I'd be happy to. :)

see i like doing tdms, but i always tell myself they're just for voicetesting or fun, and then i always play myself

another one for team did the tdm on a total whim, and while i didn't get as much done as i wanted to because i got pretty busy last week, hi5 for it working out pretty well!

i'm really interested in the ww2 era too, and gene's character concept is super intriguing. i'll definitely have to hit him up!

oh my gosh, yes! this sounds like wonderful cr in the making. she's getting more of her earth memories back now, so she definitely has some stories to share. (and also lots of stories to share about being a kree soldier as well)

like honestly it goes beyond just gene's actual time period because he knows so much more than he should about The Past (tm) due to seeing/talking to ghosts. Ghosts do tend to degrade over time in his canon unless they were Particularly Strong Willed in life but there was definitely a moment in Italy where a Roman soldier was like oh my god you can SEE ME please go get my buried gold I left it under a tree LITERALLY RIGHT OVER HERE go find it you can have it!! and other such shenanigans. HONESTLY I REALLY WANT NATE TO LEARN ABOUT THE GHOSTS EVENTUALLY because I think it'd be a cute thing to bond over. Gene is also a huge history nerd and loves learning so he'll just rapunzel-scoots-on-a-log-gif at Nate over the more technical/historian side of things.

RIGHT I'm very excited about the potential for sharing experiences in a really unique, really interesting way, since their respective history-related experiences are. You know. SO VASTLY DIFFERENT but also very in-depth and intense. Nate's not formally in ANY way, shape or form but he is earnest and thoughtful about it.

Hi!! I'm Kait, just here to offer drive-by love for your oc. I'm also the Daryl on the tdm, so while I'm definitely up for some cr with Gene and Arya in the meantime (not sure what, but she's definitely prone to getting injured), I think he and Daryl have some potential as well after I get the chance to app him! Daryl (and Arya) is a different type of soldier, but he's going to be drawn to them nonetheless.

Basically, I just love seeing historical ocs/characters, especially from the Wars, and what a treat to find two here. ♥

Ahh I'm so glad to hear that, I really am looking forward to bringing him in but Arya was calling to me more clearly in the present. I'll of course buy tickets for all your cr and hog it up though because I love your style, so Gene and Arya definitely have to meet.

Oh gods yes that's a great comparison. She certainly has a soft spot for fellow soldiers, so I have a feeling it'll be like there's no universe difference between them at all. Perhaps some moderately depressing war stories by the fire once they've gotten to know one another.
