We're so glad to have you! Feel free to use this post to introduce yourselves to the rest of the game. If you've already posted an OOC intro in this comm, feel free to repost/link it here if you like! We'll be doing a mod-posted OOC intro like this for future app rounds, as well.

If you haven't heard back about your app yet, don't worry! We're hard at work processing the remaining apps, and we'll have all acceptance notices/questions out by tomorrow morning. We also won't be posting the IC intro log until all acceptance notices have been sent out. For more info on all this, you can check out our mod plurk about it.

Not sure where to begin? Letting other players know your name, pronouns, who you play, and how to contact you is a good starting point. And, of course, shitposting with gifs and memes is always good too. Welcome aboard!

aye lads! my name is lauren (she/her) and i'm comin atcha with one (1) medic. wade's from the movie saving private ryan which is, as the title implies, about 8 guys being sent out to find private ryan, a paratrooper whose 3 brothers were KIA, and bring him home. wade is the squad's medic, a quiet, compassionate man with nerves of steel under fire. unfortunately, he's also extremely impulsive if someone gets hurt, so on multiple occasions he has to be physically restrained so that he doesn't endanger himself trying to get to them. otherwise he's very mild-mannered and doesn't really react to antagonism, so he gets along with most people, and tends to be considerate (although someone will have to break it to him that smoking indoors isn't something you do any more).

ingame wade's gonna be rooming with rosinante (callada) and mary (withsadness), and will be offering medical care/accompanying explorations along with his fellow medic gene (preseance).

my preferred contact is discord - catch me there as grinchhands mcgee#7599. my plurk is bluehellgazette but i prefer to keep my friends list to people i'm actively writing with or have written with in the past. and ofc i'm down to keep tdm threads canon!

yes!!! and tbh in some ways it's a very enjoyable film (and by that i mean the side characters and the bant) but then in others it's. hmmm

HELLO! I'm Kait, and wow just.. excellent character choice, that's all I have to say.

Joking, I have more to say. I love your prose style and your characterization so far, even though we haven't had a chance to write much! I was also the very slow Daryl Dixon on the tdm, who fell behind when Arya took over, but I'll be apping him next round and would love to explore some cr with him and Wade in the future/continue with the tdm! I'd certainly love him to have some cr with Arya as well, but I foresee Daryl being drawn to the soldiers and cowboys in general, and when I play multiples my cr tends to work better if I weigh it more heavily towards one character. But you seem awesome and I also want it all??

Also, I'll be teaching Saving Private Ryan in a course in Sept/Oct, so I'd love to add you on plurk and just absorb your thoughts about it! No one knows a canon like someone who rps from it, honestly.

We chatted a little in the game plurks I think! I'm so pumped to see a random SPR guy, he's gonna be so fun. Jo might need that medical care at some point, but we'll see.

i never finished brba but from what i did see jesse was my fave - i think cr between The Lads could be very interesting, especially when you consider that wade was around a lot of personalities similar to his, just in a different era!

I feel like this CR will be inevitable on account of the fact that Scarlett's either gonna need a lot of medical attention or be the cause of that need. Also ya know, exploration teams :D
