That's ok, not blaming himself is 100% off the table. But yeah, that's basically the plot of Rogue One. The Death Star was rigged to blow up and it follows all the forgotten weirdos who got themselves killed setting Luke Skywalker up for the shot at the end of the original.

Re: Bucky + Villanelle assassin trauma times, OMG YES! I'm so game! You want to throw them together in the intro post for now and see what happens? Yeahhh the makeup is sure a thing haha. He has his reasons and I'm sure he'd gladly invent a story about it but whatever the reasons might have originally been, he just... likes wearing makeup now. Admittedly it's much more common and acceptable in his world than in ours.
