We're so glad to have you! Feel free to use this post to introduce yourselves to the rest of the game. If you've already posted an OOC intro in this comm, feel free to repost/link it here if you like! We'll be doing a mod-posted OOC intro like this for future app rounds, as well.

If you haven't heard back about your app yet, don't worry! We're hard at work processing the remaining apps, and we'll have all acceptance notices/questions out by tomorrow morning. We also won't be posting the IC intro log until all acceptance notices have been sent out. For more info on all this, you can check out our mod plurk about it.

hey, everyone! my name's dai, and i'm super excited to be here!!

i'm bringing in prompto argentum from that final fantasy game about a nice roadtrip with bros that definitely doesn't end in disaster and tears. absolutely not. for those canon familiar, i'm taking him a few years into the world of ruin, so he is already VERY familiar with the world being in total darkness. at least there aren't daemons running around terrorizing people right??? maybe??? but for those not familiar, prompto is like literal sunshine and tries to keep the mood upbeat even when he's feeling pretty down himself. all he wants is to take pics and make friends, but those dreams are about to be shattered since he can't use a flash. ( even though the games been out for a while now, i still consider his episode in the game to be pretty spoilery. so if you want to avoid that, just let me know and we can work it out! )

Hi everyone, my name is Ceej and I'm bringing my character Elden from a pathfinder table top game I play in.

Elden basically comes from a world of magic and monsters and all that fun jazz. However, his adventures were centered more in the city he grew up in that had a lot of corruption spreading about it from political to physical. He was orphaned and grew up on the streets as a thief and that's kind of how he lived until he met his party. With his party friends his group managed to start changing the city back into it's former glory.

Elden is about fifteen years old who was chosen by the patron goddess of his city to act as an oracle on her behalf. He's friendly, compassionate and is relatively up beat...until you tick him off. Than he's just spiteful hence his user name. He's coming from a point in time where his group was going to go start a massive rebellion against the vizier and ended up dying before they stormed the castle. So, that'll be a thing.

sup folks! i'm laws. i bring to you billy russo from netflix's the punisher. he is going to be taken from the end of season 2, so he isn't in the best head space right now. you can find more deets on him here.

but i guess i can provide a quick cheat sheet here! (spoiler alert for s2 stuff)

billy is suffering from both retrograde amnesia and ptsd. he has 3 years of memories missing from his mind and he is plagued by a lot of flashbacks and night terrors, so to say the least, he doesn't sleep much. he has trouble controlling his emotions, so he can be very volatile and violent if triggered. the memories he does retain is back when he was still a usmc lieutenant in special forces. thanks to the not-so-helpful guidance of his therapist, he has a lot of misunderstandings and misinterpretations of the events that followed.

he is pretty darn angry, confused and afflicted. luckily, he is good at compartmentalizing and he isn't unstable to the point where he can't interact with other people soundly — at least as long as they don't push him.

he is going to need time to cope with his death and everything that had led up to that point, so he may self-isolate a bit. he'll still connect with others, but for the most part, he'll keep his distance. considering he is aware of his own mental state, he'll consider it the safest move for everyone around him. that being said, i do want him to heal and grow, so hopefully he'll be able to make some meaningful relationships down the line. he isn't an inherently bad guy and he'll want to redeem himself now that he's, y'know, dead. it'll just take a lot of work.

he is going to be wearing a mask for a period of time. it won't be a permanent fixture though and he doesn't have much issue taking it off. without krista's guidance, it's sort of his safety net at this point. i also think he'll be living elsewhere in town, so you got -1 competitor for a room at the tavern.



ANYWAY, i'm not the fastest tagger during the weekday (and in general if i'm gonna be 100% honest), but i'll try to slam into things as regularly as i can. i'm a compsci major so my studies tend to come first. the weekend is def more my time to shine though. if you wanna hit me up for plots, you can either shoot me a pm or comment below! i'm excited to play with all of you. :)

p.s. i do have a disco, but it isn't my preferred method of contact. you can feel free to ask for it in pm if you wanna do some extensive plotting and it's more convenient for you. otherwise, i prefer to stick to pm.

Hey all! I'm PG, bringing in Antimony Price from the InCryptid series.

Antimony is a cryptozoologist, which in her case (since she's from a canon where pretty much all the myths are at least truth-adjacent) is less "weird academic kook, we're not sure where she keeps getting grant money" and more "unholy combination between spy and conservationist". Her family has been hunted as traitors by an organization of xenophobic monster slayers for a couple of generations, so she's been trained to keep both her real name and her profession quiet. She'll cop to the latter if it's directly relevant and a lie won't work; getting a name more honest than "Annie" out of her means you've reached level 10 trust.

Her last act before dying was tangling with a cosmic horror that had been tossing people into alternate dimensions because it thrived on chaos and misery, so she's going to be hurling herself bodily into trying to figure this whole creepy town of eternal night thing out at the earliest opportunity. Research and exploration buddies, anyone?

Hello, everyone! I'm Lu, and I'm on vacation atm, so sadly I'm restricted to mobile and have zero Amusing Memes. On the same note, sorry for any slowness and typos!

I don't know that I know anyone here, actually? I play in Balance and LifeAftr right now, though, and I modded at murdergames It's Curtains and Airlocked, as well as playing through most of Trustfell. Just, clenches fist, love that murder.

Anyway, I guess I play Boromir now? I made his journal like three years ago to app him to a murdergame and then promptly chickened out, so this is a surprise to everybody! We all know him, I figure, which is one of the things that makes playing him particularly frightening. If anyone doesn't, he's another Dead Sean Bean, this time as a high fantasy warrior from the kind of world Game of Thrones was deconstructing. He has no powers outside of Stabbing Things Very Good, but he'll generally be a decent guy once he moves past and/or represses all the shit that just happened. She's stubborn, damaged, and impulsive with a quick temper and more power than any teen should have. All her living direct family members are over 1000 years old, but her parents died basically back to back 2 years ago to save her life. Survivor's guilt and abandonment issues, ahoy! Some be her friend, she could really use some. Just be prepared for some emotional walls.

Hello! I'm Abel, and I am bringing Hanzo (also known as Scorpion or "that guy that yells 'get over here'") from Mortal Kombat.

He's a grouchy old man who was formerly an undead spectre of vengeance, and he emotes only in scowls. He can create and manipulate Hellfire (which isn't working out quite so well here), and he used to die and come back pretty much every other Tuesday. He is very proud of his ninja clan, the Shirai Ryu, and is definitely, totally not close to his fellow Grandmaster, Sub-Zero, so please don't ask him about it, why would you even think that?

I'm Kait, here with Arya Stark 2 from the tdm (and excited to app Daryl Dixon next round as well, so lmk if you'd like cr with him/to keep what budding exchanges we had!), a fairly new convert from ij who hasn't been really settled into a game in eons but who is very much looking forward to doing so here! Sorry for the tdm slowness, because what do I do during a busy, hot summer week? Tdm with 2 characters at once, of course.

Some might probably don't remember me from Hadriel where I had Daryl for one month last September until the second year of my post-grad crushed me flat, but here instead is Arya, fresh off her invented (yet likely??) post-series death, who is ready to sneak around and explore this new setting like she was born to it. She's a girl of many skills, and for those who are canonblind, she's a gender-rebelling warrior from a quasi-medieval canon who has mastered the sword, the bow, knives and daggers, general assassin skills, poisons, and just a wee bit of magic. She mostly uses what she learned in 'assassin school' to change her voice and appearance and to sneak around and spy, but she doesn't yet have the materials she needs to change her face like she can in her canon. The mods have also approved her spying-by-accidentally-warging powers, so it might be possible for Arya to slip into an animal near you and overhear something/discover something in the woods while she's asleep. Just shoot me a message for plot!

So yeah, super excited to get playing. GREETINGS WONDERFUL PLAYERS i'm mippins, one of your pilots for this nightly jaunt, and atm i'm playing Rastus and Ben Winters, two of our npcs for the game. i'll be playing two others down the road and probably apping in a pc (newt geiszler from pacrim, i'm predictable) down the line, but for now it's just these two plus mod stuff.



since they're npcs, they'll be ~*~mysterious~*~ until you unlock their backstories and shit in game, BUT what i can tell you is that they're both ocs of mine from tabletop games. i'll prob put up a "first impressions" sort of thing for each of them, but for now they have permissions posts/hmds on their journals: scrapcap cawdad

in life, winters was the captain of a smuggling/scrapping ship from a firefly/serenity-based tabletop game. he's in his mid-fifties and has an unplaceable accent that's a hodgepodge of like, american/new zealand/south african, and he'll be in charge of exploration and such in beacon.

rastus is technically from a modified dnd game, though i also grew up playing world of warcraft and i like their arakkoa stuff better than the dnd version of a similar species. so. he's an arakkoa and don't hold me to WoW lore i'm just doing my own thing with him. he's, obviously, a humanoid bird, and he's getting on in years and hobbles around with a significant limp when he walks. despite being in beacon for some time, he still hasn't quite gotten the hang of human customs. as an npc, he's responsible for maintaining the bonfire and handling special orders for items and such. he's sort of the town manager, i suppose.

Hello! I'm Nyan and I'll be playing Noob Saibot. He was the original Sub-Zero his brother stole this name and his real name is Bi-Han which the majority of the franchise calls him by anyway so I don't even know why he has another name.

Seriously what's the point of a code name if no one uses them?

Anyway. He's an asshole but that's mostly because he doesn't really have the capacity to feel empathy anymore. He was murdered by Scorpion (Hanzo Hasashi) and brought back by an evil sorcerer as Noob Saibot and is sort of an undead wraith with shadow powers now. He also has a shadow clone that is somewhat sentient and will move around on it's own. It's still him though.

Hello everyone! This is Leu, the other half of your mod team!

Right now I play Will Ingram as an npc, and I will eventually be playing a couple more Mystery NPCs down the line, and I'll probably be apping an OC next month.



Will Ingram is the NPC in charge of the tablets and network. He's also available for any technology-related issues, but he's kind of an ass, so I'm sorry.

Will is an OC of mine from a short horror story I wrote as an undergrad. The story is about a bunch of eccentric scientists studying ancient alien tech before *someone* loses it and starts killing them all. That someone is, surprisingly, not Will. It's all about trust and preconceived notions and xenophobia and a bunch of other stuff blah blah blah.

Before he died, Will was a freelance terraformer, responsible for mucking around with the atmospheres and geography of Earth-like planets to make them livable. He's from The Very Future (they don't use our calendar anymore but he's beyond the year 3000 CE) and therefore the tech in Beacon is child's play to him. You can catch him at various places around town, notably the bar and town hall, but the easiest way to get him is through the network. There's a bit more to him than just tablets and stuff, but I understand if no one is willing to be around him enough to unlock that, so dw it's not plot relevant.

As for me, the easiest way to get me is through plurk: leucrotta. I can also be found on discord at leucrotta#3198, or you can feel free to PM me. You are welcome to add me on any of these platforms, but I won't add anyone myself in case you don't want mods on your tl or w/e.

Honestly, Will sounds fantastic, morally dodgy assholes are right up my alley, gimme. I just recently watched the space horror show Origin (people going crazy via alien presence and murdering each other on a ship) and it was the first thing I thought of when I saw Will's backstory, IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE AND NEAT.

Hello, I'm Shira, and I have impulse control issues. .__. I told myself I wouldn't app into any more games or pick up any more teenage assholes, and now look. I'm bringing in M.K. here from the end of Into the Badlands, which if you don't know is like GoT: kung fu hustle edition where everyone literally was kung fu fighting and murdering each other.

This bucko was a handful even back when he had short hair, an attitude problem, and zero ability to listen to authority figures, and now he's in his late teens, with longer hair and an even bigger attitude problem, and still has zero ability to listen to authority figures. M.K. is pretty much the embodiment of one of those dog shaming pics that reads "you left me alone so I burned the country down" with murder powers that let him fight like a demon--and it's kinda legit when his eyes go black in the process.

Special skills: murder, drama, sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, being a pain in your ass.

Obviously a fantastic guy to have as a roommate!! I love roomie CR, let me know if you'd like to shack up with (1) hothead fool. ♥ Otherwise, I'm excited to thread with, like. In any case hi hello I'm Ana, and I'll be playing Washington from Red vs Blue! He's a badass but extremely traumatized space marine who's secretly pretty dorky and socially awkward, and is constantly trying to be a better person to make up for some morally questionable previous actions. ::koff:: failed villain arc ::koff:: A huge part of his identity is tied up in being a solider and he still had a war to finish, so death finally catching up to him and taking him out of the fight is going to be really difficult to wrap his head around. Existential crisis buddies, anyone? Oh, he's also a hadriel CRAU and really misses his cat. ;;

hiya i'm king and and bringing you Vanitas from Kingdom Hearts, the game where our favourite disney characters tell squeenix villains that they have no friends.

Vanitas here is coming post KH3 and is one of the antagonists introduced in KH: Birth By Sleep who is the literal embodiment of all the darkness ripped out of another character's heart. his entire motivation had been to recomplete his heart or die trying and he didn't care who he had to take down in the process to do it. if you thought any of the other KH characters were edgy they've got nothing on this guy: he's a big bundle of negative emotions and physical pain and was groomed into being Evil(tm) by the series' big bad Xenahort who essentially abandoned him in the desert and showed up every once in a while to kick the shit out of him and break his spirit. also bc of that abuse i'd like to point everyone to his permissions post if you'd like to opt out of interaction with him. u can also just shoot me a pm!

the long and short of it is due to complicated reasons he is Sora's Evil Twin and will probably spend most of his time trying to make your character feel bad because misery loves company. also! he comes with an Evil Pet, because he can manifest bad feelings into little angry demons.

she legit in canon died directly after killing her own love interest (do i ship it? meh? that's a Conversation? but it's there), Vision, in an effort to save the universe, had it reversed by the Big Bad enemy in said canon, Thanos, watched Thanos kill him again, only this time he was able to steal Vision's Mind Stone and murder half the known universe with his collection of the rest of these special Stones. wanda was one of those murdered, and she faded away into dust knowing she had failed everyone she knew and loved, and everyone she would never have a chance to.

SO SHE'S COMING INTO BEACON UHHH. shaken. a bit?? but she wants to get to know you all and make sense of where everyone's been sent to. find connections here — maybe there's a riddle to be solved about this place? maybe it will lead her to her missing family, maybe it won't. maybe she can use her telepathic abilities to help people through their own trauma (I REALLY WOULD LOVE THIS).

Good evening fellow in the nighters. Name's Levy and I'm play a TROLL! He's like thousands of years old was once an assassin whose soul was controlled by an evil sorceress and he's died like...2 times in canon, the second time being his final death but now he's alive again, please let him rest smh.

Basically he's just trying to live his best life as the person he once was after remembering he was a hero to his people so now that he has those memories back he's gonna be a bit different from his usual blood thirsty, assassin self. Though it's gonna take some time to break old habits so good easy on him okay?!

But a little info about me!
